A festive opening of the photo project "Golden Age of Hollywood – women-legends" with the participation of the US Embassy in the Republic of Belarus will take place in the Library on March 22.
The Golden Age of Hollywood cinematography was in 30–40s of the XX century. A lot of quality movies with such legendary actresses, as Greta Garbo, Marlene Dietrich, Joan Crawford, Ava Gardner, were produced at this time.
The Consul of the US Embassy in the Republic of Belarus Frederick Stern will deliver a lecture "Great women of Hollywood". He will highlight the art of movie stars, socially important for society roles as workers of culture, art and science.
The temporary charge d'affaires of the USA in the Republic of Belarus Scott Roland will present the National Library 122 discs with legendary Hollywood movies and 23 books which were in the basis of Hollywood movies.
The program includes the review of the musical Singin' in the Rain.
