On December 9th, 2009, at 5 p.m. at the gallery “Labyrinth” in National Library of Belarus takes place the presentation of the electronic edition “The Khreptovichs’ book collection”.

The project of the virtual reconstruction of the Khreptovichs’ book collection has been realized thanks to joint efforts of National Library of Belarus and V.I. Vernadsky National Library of Ukraine with the support of the UNESCO.

The electronic edition "The Khreptovichs’ book collection” is dedicated to the family library  of counts Joachim Litavor and Adam Khreptovich, the outstanding political, military, and religious figures. The collection was being formed in the ХVІІІ–ХІХ centuries. Today it totals more than 2 000 books.

The collected materials represent the history of one of the largest book collections of Belarus, and promote studying of the documentary heritage of the country. In a sense, this is a “virtual returning home” of the lost collection.
