The National Library of Belarus is hosting a Week of Parental Love, within the framework of which, from October 14 to 21, the library has prepared a number of events aimed at supporting and strengthening family relations.
* The exhibition of Taisiya Kukhchinskaya "Embroidered romance", dedicated to Mother's Day, is open in the Panorama Gallery (22nd floor). The exhibition presents the artist's works made in the techniques of diamond mosaic, embroidery with ribbons, cross and beads, as well as in mixed techniques. The exposition is open until January 14, 2024. Visiting the exhibition is included in the cost of visiting the observation deck.
* In the ring gallery (2nd floor) there is a thematic book exhibition "Dedicated to mothers", which presents about 100 modern publications devoted to the most important topics for every caring mother: raising children, leading a healthy lifestyle, preserving family traditions, etc. the exposition will be open until November 20, 2023. Admission is by a reader's ticket or a ticket of the socio–cultural center.
* On October 17 at 15.00 in the atrium (2nd floor), the grand opening of the thematic photo exhibition "Women of heroes of the Bryansk region" will take place as part of the patriotic project "Hero's wife". This project presents photo portraits and messages of wives and mothers of men who have devoted their lives to serving the Motherland and protecting the Fatherland. The exhibition will be available until October 23, 2023 in the Mobile gallery (3rd floor). Admission to the opening is free, the rest of the time with a reader's ticket or a ticket of the socio-cultural center.
* On October 17, at 17.00 in the conference hall (2nd floor), a festive event "Beautiful world with maternal love" dedicated to Mother's Day will be held. The program includes a performance by the Belarusian state choreographic ensemble "Khoroshki". Admission is by invitation cards.
* On October 21 at 12.00 in the conference hall (2nd floor), the grand opening of the "Congress of Fathers - 2023" aimed at improving the status of fatherhood in the modern family and society will take place. Topics of the event: the importance of the father's role both in the family and in society, strengthening family values and traditions, ties between generations.
