On March 26, the National Library of Belarus hosted a webinar with specialists from regional libraries on the digitization of library collections.

The webinar was attended by heads and specialists of the National and regional libraries.

Specialists of the National Library of Belarus shared their experience of working with digitized documents. Sergey E. Shtykh, Head of the electronic library Formation Department, made a presentation "Overview of auxiliary software", in which he familiarized the seminar participants with the main criteria for choosing software for viewing/listening to images, audio and video documents, drew attention to the functions performed, as well as their advantages and disadvantages.

 The material was provided by the Center for Digitization and Preservation of library documents.

A new project of the National Library of Belarus is dedicated to the Great Patriotic War – "Reading newspaper lines with your heart. On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders."
Every week from January to August 2024, the portal of the National Library publishes materials from newspapers of Soviet Belarus in 1944, reflecting the chronicle of news and events of that time.

From May 6 to July 5, the Reference and Information Service reading room (room 257) hosts the book exhibition "Belarus Unconquered", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.
