From 17 April to 17 May, the National library registered users will have test access to the RUKONT, Electronic library system.

RUKONT is an electronic library system that contains over 600,000 documents from both central and regional publishing houses in Russia: scientific, educational and methodical literature, as well as periodicals in all areas of education, science and culture. 

Test access is provided to the following collections:

  • base array
  • collection "Agriculture" of the “Kolos-s” publishing house;
  • collection of the publishing house "Sovetskij Sport".

On May 5, the 205th anniversary of the birth of Stanislaw Moniuszko (1819–1872), the world-famous composer and conductor, our countryman, who made a significant contribution to the formation of Belarusian musical culture, is celebrated. By this date, the National Library of Belarus has updated the already existing virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region", created five years ago, and now replenished with new unique materials.

A new project of the National Library of Belarus is dedicated to the Great Patriotic War – "Reading newspaper lines with your heart. On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders."
Every week from January to August 2024, the portal of the National Library publishes materials from newspapers of Soviet Belarus in 1944, reflecting the chronicle of news and events of that time.
