At the origins of national bibliography

The exhibition "At the origins of national bibliography” timed to the 120th anniversary of the birth of Julia Bibilo runs in the Book Museum (3rd floor, room 347) from January, 10th.

Julia Bibilo is a prominent bibliographer and the first head of the department of Belarusian literature and bibliography at the BSSR State Library. She is aslo a founder of bibliographic registration of press in the BSSR and compiler of the local history bibliographic catalog.

The offered exposition presents hand-written memoirs, correspondence and photos from the archive of Julia Bibilo, bibliographic material prepared and published in Belarus and Russia, and other documents.

The exhibition runs until 10 February, 2017.
