Children's Room
Users of the library can place their children, at the age of 3 to 10 years, under the care of professional teachers and psychologists in the Children’s Room. A stay in the Children's Room is chargeable. The period of stay is up to two hours, but time can be extended according to the wishes of a child and their parents.
In the Children’s Room, each child will spend quality time and have fun. The playing space is filled with a variety of toys and training aids: dolls, toy cars, balls, construction kits, mosaics. There is also a play house "Magic Stand", a Barbie doll house, bingo, Tetris, soft puzzles, children’s musical instruments and many other things.
Young guests will enjoy a wide range of children’s books, cartoons and movies, CDs with known and loved children’s songs, and also a sliding board and wall bars. Additional comfort is achieved by comfortable sofas that can easily be transformed to play active games.
We prepared a series of developing and entertaining group lessons, including festive events, literary recitals, creative lessons, workshops:
- games, contests and workouts;
- reading children's poems, stories and fairy-tales;
- watching children’s movies and cartoons;
- listening to children’s songs;
- arts and crafts;
- puppet shows.
The Children’s Room also offers an excursion "The Birthday in the Library".
According to "The Children’s Room Instructions" you need to:
- provide a passport or a residence permit and a library card;
- provide information on the state of health and behavioral characteristics of your child.
Additional recommendations:
- you can bring a change of clothes and shoes to make a stay comfortable for your child;
- you can use the reader’s workstation located near the assistant librarian’s desk to carry out a fast connection, if necessary, on the phone while you work in a reading room.
You should not bring to the Children’s Room:
- food or drinks;
- medications;
- valuables;
- things that can harm a child.
Opening hours
Tuesday – Saturday: 10 a.m.– 6 p.m.
Monday, Sunday – days off.
A cleanup day is on the last Monday of a month.
