Euphrosyne of Polotsk

The lesson is dedicated to Euphrosyne of Polotsk, the historical personality of the 12th century, who copied books on the church scriptorium of the Saint Sophia Cathedral in Polotsk. Young visitors will get acquainted with the rich hand-written book culture of Belarus. And the most important thing is that they will see hand-written books in the museum exposition, and flip through and read facsimile manuscript editions.
