The castle culture of Belarus

For pupils of 1–5 grades.

The lesson is dedicated to the history of castles and castle libraries of Belarus. Pupils will receive knowledge about the castle architecture on the territory of Belarus, the types of castles and peculiarities of their constructions, castle libraries and theatre. Young visitors will have a unique opportunity to look at old-printed editions from the Radziwill’s library, bookplates and superexlibris on books from the castle library of the outstanding family. Moreover, they will get acquainted with the only in Belarus Ursula Radziwill’s drama pieces copy of the 18th century Камедыі і трагедыі (Comedies and Tragedies) with Zhukovski’s engravings, made after duchess’ sketches with the renewal of the acting space of Niasvizh performances.

Participants of the lesson in the Museum will do interesting tasks and perform a staging improvisation.
