Stelnitsky, Stanislav

29 Станислав Феликсович Стельницкий.jpg Stanislav Stelnitsky (1854 – after 1917) was a commander, general of infantry. Born in a noble family, Vilna province, he graduated from Pskov Military Gymnasium and Riga Infantry Cadet School. He reached the ranks of lieutenant (1874), lieutenant (1876), staff captain (1877), captain (1887), lieutenant colonel (1893), colonel (1901), major general (1905), lieutenant-general (1914) , general of infantry (1916). He entered the First World War as commander of the 3rd Finnish Rifle Brigade. Later, he led the 58th Infantry Division (1914) and the 39th Army Corps (1915). He commanded the Special Army (14.09–20.11.1917). There is no specific information about his fate. Reportedly, Stelnitsky was in the army of the Ukrainian State, where he commanded the 3rd Kiev Corps, and in November 1918, after the announcement of the annexation of the corps to the Volunteer Army, he was dismissed by Hetman Skoropadsky.
