The art exhibition of Taisiya Kukhchinskaya "Embroidered Romance", dedicated to Mother's Day, began working on October 12 at the Panorama Gallery (22nd floor).

The exhibition is organized jointly with the Nature and Fantasy Club, of which the artist is a member. The club has existed since 1968 and at first functioned as a section "Nature and Creativity" at the capital's House of Nature and the Belarusian Society for Nature Conservation. People's Artist of the BSSR Stefania Stanyuta was a member of the club for 40 years. In 2023, the club of lovers of beauty and masters turned 55 years old.

Taisiya Kukhchinskaya has been engaged in decorative art for more than 60 years, her works participated in joint exhibitions of the club, several personal exhibitions were held in libraries of the city. In 2019, the artist's works were exhibited at the Slavyansky Bazar festival and received the 2nd place in the Ribbon Embroidery nomination.

"Embroidered Romance" presents works made in the techniques of diamond mosaic, embroidery with ribbons, cross and beads, as well as in mixed techniques.

It is important that the history of embroidery with silk ribbons, beads, decorative mosaics and threads goes back centuries, preserving in each stitch the primordial wisdom and knowledge accumulated over centuries. The roots of the oldest types of handicrafts can be found in all countries of the world. Embroidery has been admired since ancient times by needlewomen in Russia, and artisans in the East, and Indian artists in North America. Today, needlework art is developing inspiringly and fruitfully in Belarus.

"Embroidered Romance" includes landscapes, still lifes, portraits, architectural and floral compositions. A magical world is created on pieces of fabric with the help of a small needle and colorful threads, shining beads and ribbons. Lyrical, romantic plots arise under the hands of the author in a variety of colors and shades. Extreme detail makes it possible not only to convey a rich color scheme, but also creates the feeling that the viewer is not embroidery, but an oil painting. Decorative works are filled with comfort and warmth of images.

Every year, with the life experience, the skill of the artist grows, her desire to bring joy to people does not disappear, to decorate life with picturesque embroidery, where every stitch is created from the heart and in order to make the world kinder and happier.

Spring morning, summer sea, forest landscape, female silhouettes soaring in the summer haze, outlines of the night city, abundance of flowers – all works made with maternal diligence, patience, kindness create a festive space of the exhibition "Embroidered Romance" and become a kind of gift and gratitude to mothers – visitors of the gallery.

The exhibition will last until January 14, 2024.
