On March 12, 2024, the National Library of Belarus hosted the grand opening of the exhibition "It's warm here", which presented picturesque landscapes, floral still lifes, spring portraits of the Belarusian artist Yulia Koba.

Yulia Koba is an artist, a member of the International Public Association "Eurasian Art Community", participant of numerous exhibitions, curator and participant of planners, founder of the art studio Okhra (Minsk), its creative director and teacher. Lots of Julia's works are in personal collections of Russia, the USA, England, etc.  


The exhibition features fragrant bouquets, the comfort of native spaces, the magic of sunrises, the rustle of meadow grass – nature that wakes up after a winter sleep.

"It's warm here" is a sincere, gentle project that is designed to warm in early spring and give hope for new achievements. The images are full of sunny heat, blue landscapes, shades of flower bouquets and women's smiles. Blooming pears, cornflower field, bouquets of lilacs, hollyhocks, phlox, peonies, lilies, poppies, gladioli, lupines, tulips, spectacular sunflowers, meadow grasses, a girl on a swing, presented in the exhibition, bloomed and began spring on the 22nd floor of the library in the Panorama gallery.

Bright colours, emotions and feelings, spring sun, fresh air, sunsets and sunrises, skies and rains await visitors at the Julia Koba painting exhibition "It's warm here".

The event was attended by Deputy Director General of the National Library of Belarus Lyudmila Vysotskaya, a member of the Belarusian Union of Designers, the Union of Peacemaking Artists, a teacher of art disciplines at the Belarusian State Pedagogical University, artist Alla Shkoradenok, a member of the International Public Association "Eurasian Art Community", artist Liliana Kaukhuta, an artist-teacher, a member of the International Public Association association "Eurasian Art Community", head and teacher of the art studio Okhra (Minsk) Julia Koba.

The exhibition will be on display until April 14, 2024.
The date of its completion can be changed.

A visit to the exposition is included in the cost of visiting the observation deck.
The mode of operation of the exhibition corresponds to the mode of operation of the observation deck.

On May 5, the 205th anniversary of the birth of Stanislaw Moniuszko (1819–1872), the world-famous composer and conductor, our countryman, who made a significant contribution to the formation of Belarusian musical culture, is celebrated. By this date, the National Library of Belarus has updated the already existing virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region", created five years ago, and now replenished with new unique materials.

A new project of the National Library of Belarus is dedicated to the Great Patriotic War – "Reading newspaper lines with your heart. On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders."
Every week from January to August 2024, the portal of the National Library publishes materials from newspapers of Soviet Belarus in 1944, reflecting the chronicle of news and events of that time.
