On March 12, the seminar "Electronic Library system "Айбукс.ру" (ibooks.ru) was held at the National Library of Belarus (ibooks.ru ) for information support of science and education."
An overview of the electronic library system "Айбукс.ру" (ibooks.ru) was presented to the audience (ibooks.ru ) – a resource that contains full texts of modern educational, scientific and business literature in various fields from leading world and Russian publishers (O'Reilly Media, Manning Publication, Peachpit Press, Packt Publishing, Pearson Education Inc, "HSE", "Zlatoust", "Vlados", "Flint", etc.). A unique component of the EBS is a selection of educational and professional publications on IT topics – content from leading Russian publishing houses specializing in IT: BHF-Petersburg, Peter, DMK-Press, Hotline-Telecom, Publishing House of Bauman Moscow State Technical University, etc.
Viktar Prshybytko, Deputy Director General of the National Library of Belarus, made a welcoming speech.
Special attention was paid at the seminar to the issues of navigation and search on the platform, the specifics of working with the personal account and the administrative module. The participants discussed the possibilities of acquisition in the EBS, the formation of collections in accordance with the needs of the organization, as well as the creation of collections of relevant literature by specialists of the Ibooks company.
The speakers of the seminar were representatives of the Ibooks company – Elena Korobova, Director General , and Lola Tsvetkova, head of the customer service department.
The meeting was held in a mixed format: more than 40 library specialists from all regions of Belarus were able to join both online and in person.
