The graphic art exhibition "Life like a Dream” of Kiev artist Galina Bodyakova opened on 28 April at the art gallery “Panorama”.
Galina Bodyakova is the acknowledged master of etching. This graphic art technique, which appeared 500 years ago in Europe, attracts the artist with its element of surprise and experiment. Her etchings are remarkable for a particular poetry and warmth.
Galina Bodyakova also explores other graphic art techniques such as lithography, xylography, book and computer graphics and engraving. The artist’s works are in many private collections in Ukraine, Russia, Canada, the USA, Germany, France, Spain, Poland, Czechia, Slovakia, Turkey and Japan.
First Deputy Director of the National Library of Belarus for User Service and Ideology Elena Dolgopolova opened the exhibition. Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Ukraine in the Republic of Belarus Roman Bezsmertny and art critic Larissa Mikhnevich participated in the event. The young and talented artist Galina Bodyakova thanked the organizers of the exhibition for their aid and support and answered the guests’ questions.
The exposition "Life like a Dream” is equally attractive to children and adults, unsophisticated art lovers and professional art critics. The exhibition runs during April and May.
The exhibition entrance fee is equal to that of the Observation Platform of the National Library of Belarus.
