From November 26, 2007 to December 31, 2007, in the Belarusian Literature Reading Room (room 205) is open a book exhibition "Bibliographic Journey" with Belarusian bibliographic materials published in 2005–2007.
The exhibition comprises about 250 bibliographic materials on scientific papers published in Belarus. In a particular section of the exhibition are displayed publications by Belarusian Book Chamber (series “National bibliography of Belarus). Series “Chronicles of Belarusian print” include seven varied publications: “Book chronicles”, “Chronicles of normative-technical materials and special publications” (until 2006), “Chronicles of authors’ abstracts of dissertations”, “Chronicles of music publications”, “Chronicles of graphic publications”, “Chronicles of reviews”, “Chronicles of cartographic publications”, as well as single publications: “Books of Belarus”, “Chronicles of journal articles”, “Chronicles of newspaper articles”, “Chronicles of periodicals”, “Belarus in the world print” (from 2005), “Index of Belarusian bibliography”, “Belarusian bibliography of 2001 – 2005: surveys”, and others.
At the exhibition is displayed the current universal bulletin “New books: News of Belarusian print” which National Library of Belarus has been publishing monthly since 1960. The bulletin contains data on books by Belarusian publishing houses received by the Library. Every year the Library publishes an issue “Belarusian calendar” (on the basis of the factual database “Belarus in personals and events”.
The exhibition presents bibliography on Belarusian regional studies, and materials on Belarusian libraries new acquisitions: “Literature of Minsk district”, “New acquisitions of reference, methodical, and bibliographic publications”, (Minsk District Library), “Vitebsk district”, “New literature on Mogilev district”, and others.
At the exhibition are displayed bibliographies published by Belarusian National Academy of Sciences, National Archive of Belarus, and Belarusian universities.
Besides that, at the exhibition are displayed materials informing on doctoral and Ph.D. theses defended in the Republic of Belarus.
The exhibition presents as well personal bibliographies dedicated to Belarusian scientists and cultural workers.
