On December 17, 2007 in the gallery “Panorama” opened an exhibition dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the Minsk State Art College named after A. Glebov. There are 47 works: painting, graphics, sculpture, batik, and tapestry.


The exhibition is open until December 30, 2007.

The Minsk State Art College named after A. Glebov is one of the oldest and the most eminent Belarusian artistic schools. Belarusian people’s artists Mikhail Savitsky, Arlen Kashkurevich, Vasily Sharangovich, Victor Gromyko, May Danzig, and Leonid Schemelyov studied here.

The main task of the College is the safekeeping of traditions and development of young talents. The President of the Republic of Belarus Special Fund provides the best students of the College with a special scholarship.

The Minsk State Art College named after A. Glebov diploma is a sort of a “quality mark” for every graduate of the College.

On May 5, the 205th anniversary of the birth of Stanislaw Moniuszko (1819–1872), the world-famous composer and conductor, our countryman, who made a significant contribution to the formation of Belarusian musical culture, is celebrated. By this date, the National Library of Belarus has updated the already existing virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region", created five years ago, and now replenished with new unique materials.

A new project of the National Library of Belarus is dedicated to the Great Patriotic War – "Reading newspaper lines with your heart. On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders."
Every week from January to August 2024, the portal of the National Library publishes materials from newspapers of Soviet Belarus in 1944, reflecting the chronicle of news and events of that time.
