The National Library of Belarus is opening a book and illustrative exhibition dedicated to the laureates of the prize "For Spiritual Revival“, the special prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus to cultural and artistic figures, as well as the special prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus "Belarusian Sports Olympus" for 2023.

On December 19, 2023, Head of State Alexander Lukashenko signed decrees No. 397 "On awarding the prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus "For Spiritual Revival", No. 398 "On awarding the special prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus to cultural and artistic figures" and No. 399 "On awarding the special prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus "Belarusian Sports Olympus".

The Special Prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus "For Spiritual Rebirth" is evidence of state recognition of the merits of scientific and creative intelligentsia, those who have distinguished themselves in humanitarian and charitable activities. The prize is awarded annually for outstanding works of literature and art, active ascetic activity in the humanitarian field aimed at the development of progressive artistic and moral traditions that contribute to the strengthening of spiritual values.

In 2024, the head of state presented prizes for active work in the humanitarian field, contributing to the strengthening of the spiritual values and moral traditions of the Belarusian people, for fruitful activities in the civil and patriotic education of the younger generation, for a significant contribution to the preservation of the cultural heritage of Belarus, for outstanding achievements in the field of theatrical, musical, decorative and applied arts, folk and amateur artistic creation, education and upbringing of creative youth.

For significant contribution to the preservation of historical memory and the truth about the Great Patriotic War and the implementation of projects “The last witnesses”, “Genocide. Without the Right to Life” the special prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus was awarded to the Prosecutor General's Office, the Belarusian Telegraph Agency and the National State Television and Radio Company.

The achievements of the Republican Scientific and Practical Center "Mother and Child", which received a special award from the President of the Republic of Belarus for outstanding achievements in improving the quality and accessibility of medical care, popularization of family values in society, did not go unnoticed.

For active work in the humanitarian field, significant contribution to the development of creative abilities and social adaptation of people with disabilities, the special prize of the President of the Republic of Belarus was awarded to the staff of the state institution Gomel City Center for Inclusive Culture.

The exhibition presents books, catalogues, booklets, articles from periodicals, pictorial documents – materials from the library's collections about all the laureates of 2023, who glorify their native Belarus with their high spirituality and fruitful work.

The exhibition period is from January 18 to March 17, 2024 in the ring gallery of the 2nd floor.
The completion date can be changed.

The opening hours of the exhibition correspond to the Library opening hours.
Admission is by a library card or by the Social and Cultural Center ticket.

The books presented at the exhibition can be ordered through the E-catalogue of the National Library of Belarus.
