In 2011, the National Library of Belarus carries on the series of anniversary book exhibitions “The writers whose anniversaries are celebrated” dedicated to life and career of the outstanding masters of writing.
In the second quarter the Library offers to readers’ attention the expositions as follow:
- "The bearer of the great thought": the 125th birthday of Russian poet Nicolay Gumilyov (1886–1921);
- "The mystic writer": the 120th birthday of Russian writer Mikhail Bulgakov (1891–1940);
- "The poet of a critical thought": the 200th birthday of literary critic Vissarion Belinsky (1811–1848);
- "The great poet-humanist": the 150th birthday of Indian writer Rabindranat Tagore (1861–1941);
- "The master of historical novel": the 165th birthday of Polish writer Henryk Sienkiewicz (1846–1916);
- "The unique talent of a storyteller": the 155th birthday of English writer Henry Rider Haggard (1856–1925).
