In December, within the framework of the charitable action “About Belarus – to Belarusians from abroad”, with the help of the Embassy of the Republic of Belarus in the Federal Republic of Germany, publications about Belarus were donated to national and cultural associations of this country.

The events of the action were initiated by the National Library of Belarus with the aim of assisting associations of the Belarusian diaspora in foreign countries and promoting the dissemination of information about our country, popularization of information resources reflecting the richness of its historical, cultural and natural heritage.

The set includes works of art by Belarusian authors, publications on the history, culture and art of Belarus, children's books, encyclopedias, dictionaries.

The set was formed jointly by the National Library of Belarus, the Ministry of Information of the Republic of Belarus and the Presidential Library of the Republic of Belarus.

We invite private individuals, publishing houses and organizations that have interesting publications about our country for cooperation. We also appeal to the associations of Belarusians from foreign countries interested in receiving Belarusian literature, to join the charitable action “About Belarus - to Belarusians abroad”.

On April 24, 2024, at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Rumyantsev Readings-2024" in Moscow, Olga Polunchenko, chief bibliographer of the Department of reference and Information Services, presented a report "The role of Adam Shanyavsky in organizing the library fund of the Nesvizh County School (the last quarter of the XVIII century)."
