Roman Motulsky, the director of the National Library of Belarus and member of the Public Council at the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic of Belarus, visited penal colony number 2 in Bobruisk on 27 October.
At the meeting with prisoners Mr. Motulsky told about the history of Belarusian book-printing and the role of the book in the development of a person.
The event was part of the charitable campaign "The book is a source of wisdom, knowledge and science...". The director of the National Library of Belarus donated to the institution a set of 150 publications including fiction and popular scientific literature.
