On December 23rd, 2009, the folk group “Gramnitsy” presented a Christmas concert in National Library of Belarus.
The folk group “Gramnitsy” directed by V.K. Zenkevich, the professor of Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts, exists since 1993. The artists perform Belarusian folk songs originally combining the traditional folk sound and the modern arrangement. The folk group “Gramnitsy” is well-known both in Belarus and abroad: in Belgium, Holland, Germany, Korea, France, Sweden and other countries.
The concert took place in the conference hall of National Library of Belarus. The audience appreciated Belarusian, Ukrainian, Lithuanian, Latvian and Slavonic folk songs performed by the folk group.
