Workshops and creative activities, literary and festive events – the Children's Room invites kids to spend time with advantage and excitement.

In the workshop, you can learn how to create crafts from different materials with your own hands. Children can play and read, sing and dance, watch cartoons and listen to music, chat and make friends.

So, on the eve of New Year 2020, at the workshop “Christmas Tree Toys – Cones, Teddies and Crackers”, the kids created festive Christmas trees from cardboard, foamiran, napkins and felt and decorated them with colorful balls.

The creative process was diversified by funny musical moments.

The friendly and festive atmosphere aroused the children's joyful emotions, and the lesson left a vivid impression.

We present the updated virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region": on the 205th anniversary of the composer's birth

On May 5, the 205th anniversary of the birth of Stanislaw Moniuszko (1819–1872), the world-famous composer and conductor, our countryman, who made a significant contribution to the formation of Belarusian musical culture, is celebrated. By this date, the National Library of Belarus has updated the already existing virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region", created five years ago, and now replenished with new unique materials.

A new project of the National Library of Belarus is dedicated to the Great Patriotic War – "Reading newspaper lines with your heart. On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders."
Every week from January to August 2024, the portal of the National Library publishes materials from newspapers of Soviet Belarus in 1944, reflecting the chronicle of news and events of that time.

On April 25, the National Library of Belarus hosted the opening of the exhibition "Dreams about Belarus", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Liberation of Belarus from Nazi invaders and the 85th anniversary of the birth of People's Artist of Belarus Vasily Sharangovich.
