Artist-restorer Elena Kontsovenko: "Studying at the university, I very quickly realized that the profession of an artist-restorer is mine. The restoration attracted me because it is connected with history, with the past. When you restore it, you seem to be immersed in that era. The distinctive features of the restorer, in my opinion, are hard work, great patience, careful attitude to art objects and just love for their work."

Elena Kontsovenko made a report and presentation on the topic "Experience of a young restorer – the first year of work" at the conference.

The young specialist's participation in the conference was made possible thanks to the close and fruitful cooperation between the National Library of Belarus and the All-Russian State Library of Foreign Literature named after M.I. Rudomino.

The exchange of experience with young Russian restorers and the establishment of professional contacts is an important element of the system of professional training of young personnel in the field of restoration and conservation. The acquired knowledge and skills will contribute to the successful implementation of tasks to ensure the safety of library documents.
