The National Library celebrated the beginning of the new academic year with a large-scale event, an online conference of the Virtual Reading Room, dedicated to topical issues of information support in education.

On September 2, more than 150 interested professionals gathered in the Library in a face-to-face and remote format: teachers, principals and librarians of secondary schools, gymnasiums, lyceums, colleges, universities of Belarus. During the day, the Virtual Reading Room partners – representatives of publishers and aggregators of licensed electronic information resources (Direct-Media, Infra-M, BiblioRossika, Lan) – gave their speeches. They introduced the EIR, specially created for the libraries of educational institutions: databases of education, art, scientific and methodological literature, as well as special services to help organize distance education and introduce innovative learning formats at all levels of education, from general secondary to higher education.
