From May 12, 2009, to May 14, 2009, in National Library of Belarus was held an international seminar on traffic safety.
The seminar was held in the framework of the project “Traffic safety improvement: regional and national methods of traffic accidents reduction” which is arranged by five regional commission of the UNO.
Participants of the seminar exchanged experience in the field of traffic safety, and discussed methods of traffic accidents reduction and road safety on national and regional level.
Representatives of Armenia, Azerbaijan, Greece, Spain, Moldova, Poland, Turkmenistan, the Russian Federation and Tajikistan took part in the event.
The following subjects were examined at the seminar: the state control in the field of road traffic and traffic safety, international program on traffic safety improvement, global partnership in the field of traffic safety and traffic accidents reduction.
The seminar has become a basis for improvement and development of regional cooperation in the field of traffic safety.
