The 49th meeting of the Board of Governors and Coordinating Board of the International Scientific and Technical Center (ISTC) was held in National Library of Belarus from July 8, 2009 to July 9, 2009.
The International Scientific and Technical Center was established by the European Union, the USA, Japan and Russia in 1992. In 1994 the Republic of Belarus joined the agreement on the ISTC creation. The purpose of the International Scientific and Technical Center is to develop, finance and control the peaceful uses of scientific and technical achievements by specialists who formerly worked for defense industry in the CIS member states.
During the meeting representatives of the Board of Governors and Coordinating Board of the International Scientific and Technical Center examined filings, reached a decision on projects financing and discussed the issues of the further development of the ISTC.
Participants of the meeting made an excursion of the National Library.
