A meeting with a lawyer on citizens’ housing rights took place in the library, on October 24.
Maxim Tereshkov, a member of Minsk Regional Bar Association, lawyer of the law office “Braginets and Partners”, mediator, co-author of the information and analytical program “Belarusian Time” on Belarus 1 TV channel, addressed the audience.
The attendees received basic knowledge about the housing rights of citizens within the framework of the current legislation of the Republic of Belarus, and asked questions about the payment of housing and communal services (HCS), the responsibility of housing and communal services in the repair of housing stock, benefits for paying housing services, as well as the provision of housing subsidies for payment of housing and utility services for persons not engaged in the national economy.
The event featured a thematic exhibition of publications from the collections of the National Library of Belarus.
