On September 2–3, the Library presented the program "The Positive from Skaryna" in the framework of the Day of Belarusian Writing on the children's playground of the Festival of the Book and the Press.
The holiday in Polotsk was marked by events significant for the history of Belarus: the 500th anniversary of Belarusian book printing and the 1155th anniversary of Polotsk. The biography of Francysk Skaryna is connected with the city on the Western Dvina. The figure of the Belarusian printer was central to the holiday program "Positive from Skaryna". The program included lessons in a simple and exciting manner for children and their parents and was full of creative tasks, games, wonderful mood.
Francysk Skaryna is one of the brightest figures of Belarusian culture. Undoubtedly, he was a man full of optimism, innovation, cheerfulness, energy and positive. It’s very interesting and fascinating to learn something new about Skaryna. And participants of the lessons "Positive from Skaryna" in Polotsk experienced it!
