The Restoration and Conservation Department of the National Library of Belarus held a webinar for regional libraries on the topic "Preservation of Paper Documents: State of Affairs, Development Trends" on May 26.
The following issues were discussed:
- the use of new materials for minor repairs and simple restoration;
- organization of training for library staff on minor repairs of paper documents;
- the use of coloured bookbinding in the restoration of bindings.
A technique developed and introduced by the National Library for colouring bindings was presented to the participants.
