The National Library of Belarus continues the charity campaign Reading as Information and Knowledge Space: a Charity Campaign. On December 18, 150 editions of children's, educational, methodological and fiction literature were transferred to the library funds of the Rakov Intermediate School.

The ceremony was attended by schoolchildren, representatives of the administration, library and the teaching staff of the Rakov Intermediate School. From the National Library of Belarus – Deputy Director for Information Resources, Heads of the Acquisition Department and the National Documents Exchange Section.

An interesting conversation about books took place, historical places of Rakov, famous people and land.

Employees of the National Library, the teaching staff and students of the Rakov Intermediate School thank the publishers Belarus, Patchatova School, Pravo I Economica, Narodnaya Asveta, book-selling organizations BukLineGrupp, BeltaynKniga, Mobilbuk, Krasiko-Print, Piter-M, Eureka-M, Minsk City Institute for the Development of Education, the Presidential Library of the Republic of Belarus for the literature collected for transmission.

On May 5, the 205th anniversary of the birth of Stanislaw Moniuszko (1819–1872), the world-famous composer and conductor, our countryman, who made a significant contribution to the formation of Belarusian musical culture, is celebrated. By this date, the National Library of Belarus has updated the already existing virtual project "Stanislaw Moniuszko. Musical romantic from Minsk region", created five years ago, and now replenished with new unique materials.

A new project of the National Library of Belarus is dedicated to the Great Patriotic War – "Reading newspaper lines with your heart. On the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Belarus from the Nazi invaders."
Every week from January to August 2024, the portal of the National Library publishes materials from newspapers of Soviet Belarus in 1944, reflecting the chronicle of news and events of that time.
