The Library specialists took part in the international scientific seminar "Modern issues of the book culture: main trends and development prospects" on April 19–20.
The National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the Central Scientific Library named after Y. Kolas, the Ministry of Culture, the National Historical and Cultural Museum and Reserve Niasvizh, Council on book publishing of the International Association of academies of sciences, the Scientific council of the Russian Academy of Sciences "The History of the World Culture", the Centre of the Book Culture Research "Scientific and Publishing Centre Science" of the RAS organized the event, which took place in the National Historical and Cultural Museum and Reserve Niasvizh and the Central Scientific Library named after Y. Kolas of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus.
The associate of the Academy of Sciences, councilor of the RAS director, director of the Scientific and Publishing Centre "Science", director of the Centre of the Book Culture Research, doctor of philology, doctor of historical sciences, professor V.I. Vasiliev greeted participants. The director of the Central Scientific Library named after Y. Kolas, candidate of historical sciences, associate professor A.I. Grusha and the director of the National Historical and Cultural Museum and Reserve Niasvizh, candidate of historical sciences S.M. Klimov also greeted participants.
Scientists and specialists from Belarus, Israel, Lithuania, Poland, Russia, Uzbekistan and Ukraine participated in the seminar.
The round table on general issues of the book culture and a working session on the international scientific cooperation took place in the framework of the seminar.
The head of the Bibliology Department Galina Kireeva (report "With respect to the author: dedicatory inscriptions of famous scientists historians") and the Research and design work section Tatiana Sapego (report "Шляхі папаўнення калекцыі "Radziviliana" Нацыянальнай бібліятэкі Беларусі"(Ways of the collection of the NLB "Radziviliana" replenishment)) took part on behalf of the National Library of Belarus.
