The Electronic Culture scientific-practical conference was held in the National Library, on June 6.
The organizers are the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus and the National Library of Belarus.
The Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus, Sergei Sheremetyev, and the director of the National Library of Belarus, Roman Motulsky, addressed a welcoming speech to the conference.
The event was attended by experts of the Joint Institute of Informatics Problems of the National Academy of Sciences of Belarus, the National Institute of Education, the Intersectoral Scientific and Practical Center for Identification Systems and Electronic Business, the Belarusian State Museum of the History of the Great Patriotic War, the Minsk State Palace of Children and Youth, the Institute for Advanced Studies and Retraining Education of the Belarusian State University of Culture and Arts, and Minsk Central Regional Library. The attendees shared unique experience in technology implementation.
During the meeting, presentations were made by the staff of the National Library of Belarus: Alexander Susha, the deputy director of the National Library of Belarus for research and publishing; Olga Bondarchuk, the head of the social and marketing research sector, and Ekaterina Sedneva, a leading librarian (the Library Science Research Department); Vyacheslav Brichkovsky, the head of the information support sector of innovative activity, Lyudmila Gorbacheva, a chief bibliographer, and Lyubov Danilenko, a leading librarian (the Corporate Interaction Department); Tatiana Lavrik, a leading bibliographer at the Information and Analytical Department, and Vladislav Zhidovich, a librarian at the Library and Information Technology Department.
The conference was fruitful, useful and interesting for the participants. The experts tried to answer their colleagues' questions as fully as possible.
