The facsimile Book Heritage of Francysk Skaryna is donated to the National Library of Spain, Spain Embassy in Belarus announced.
Alexey Panferov, the chargé d’affaires of Belarus in Spain, presented the Book in Madrid during the meeting with Yolanda Ruiz Esteban, the Deputy Director and the Head of the National Library of Spain stocks.
The Belarusian diplomat told about the history of Belarusian printing, the 500th Anniversary of which is celebrated this year, as well as about Francysk Skaryna, who was the first printer in the East European lands.
Yolanda Ruiz Esteban assured that the books would take an honorable place in the National Library of Spain.
The parties also discussed the possibilities of cooperation between the national libraries of both countries, the diplomatic mission noted.
