On 22 February, a festive event "The holiday of courage and honor", devoted to the Day of Motherland Defenders was held at the Children's Room of the National Library of Belarus.
During the event young visitors took part in exciting competitions, competed in the design of paper airplanes, skillfully used their acting technique and played roles of people of military professions. Children showed their erudition in the competition "Continue a saying" and in the competition "Tell me about your dad" they said their relatives a lot of good and kind words.
The apogee of the event was the performance of poet Andrei Smetanin, a good friend of the Children’s Room, who read his poems and participated in competitions with the children.
The fathers of these participants were happy to receive children’s gifts, dedicated to 23 February.
