Selections of publications by UN bodies are available by a virtual centre on the activities of international organizations on the website of the National Library of Belarus.

The Virtual Centre on the Activities of International Organizations has been replenished with new materials – the updated section “The National Library of Belarus, the UN depository library” will help to find key United Nations publications stored in the library.

Information about the available publications is accompanied by hyperlinks to the pages of the electronic catalog of the library, where you can see a full description of the selected document, find out its location and place an order for the document.

Information is provided on the documents of the six main organs of the UN: the General Assembly, the Security Council, the Economic and Social Council, the International Court of Justice, the Trusteeship Council, the Secretariat, as well as its specialized agencies: the World Bank, the World Health Organization, the International Atomic Energy Agency, the International Monetary Fund, International Labor Organization, United Nations Educational, Scientific and Cultural Organization.

For each of these organizations, there is a list of its most important publications available in the National Library of Belarus, including:

  • official records (resolutions, decisions, decisions, meeting records, annual activity reports);
  • regularly published surveys and reports on world development issues;
  • periodicals and continuing publications;
  • reference editions.

Provides information about documents published from the 1950s to the 1960s. and up to now.

Adam Shanyavsky and the library fund of the Nesvizh county school (the last quarter of the XVIII century)

On April 24, 2024, at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Rumyantsev Readings-2024" in Moscow, Olga Polunchenko, chief bibliographer of the Department of reference and Information Services, presented a report "The role of Adam Shanyavsky in organizing the library fund of the Nesvizh County School (the last quarter of the XVIII century)."
