“The Way to Victory: Historical Sources Testify”, historical and documentary exhibition, is on show in the Atrium Gallery (3rd floor) on March 17.

The event was attended by Mr Roman Motulsky, Director General of the National Library of Belarus, Mr Dmitry Mezentsev, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of the Russian Federation to the Republic of Belarus, and Mr Alexander Kokhanovsky, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor, Dean of the Faculty of History of the Belarusian State University.

The project materials contain factual information about the Second World War and the Great Patriotic War, fascism, the liberation movement of the Red Army and the post-war period. There are “Top Secret” and unique photographs, documents, maps, posters and newspapers at the exhibition. 30 tablets present the documents for our visitors.

Book collections of the Diamond of Knowledge are also a part of the exhibition. These are popular scientific publications of the historians from Belarus and Russia, as well as the memoirs of Soviet commanders. The book collections are based on documentary and archival data and supplemented by topical subject-matter works of art devoted to the Great Patriotic War.

The opening hours of the exhibition correspond to the library’s opening hours.
Admission is by library card or by the ticket of the library's social and cultural center.

On April 24, 2024, at the International Scientific and Practical Conference "Rumyantsev Readings-2024" in Moscow, Olga Polunchenko, chief bibliographer of the Department of reference and Information Services, presented a report "The role of Adam Shanyavsky in organizing the library fund of the Nesvizh County School (the last quarter of the XVIII century)."
