As an artist, I understand Time – it's the rhythm of my heart
from birth in the chronicle of being on a tiny blue planet,
where pairs of opposites are fighting,
striving for harmony, where man and the
universe are united in the moments of my earthly life…
And "Measure is the Face of the World" and "All in good time
of every thing under the sky..."
Vladimir Hin
For a number of years, the National Library of Belarus has been linked by creative and friendly relations with the famous Belarusian artist Vladimir Providokhin. Over the past three years, the author has transferred over 230 graphic works to the electronic library, and 2024 was no exception.
The electronic collection "Time is the Measure of the World" of the series "Masters of Belarusian culture. Vladimir Providokhin" has been replenished with 37 art documents.
Among the new works are works made in the following techniques: watercolour, tempera and drawing. Each material has its own specifics and the artistic image is based on the possibilities of techniques: watercolour painting, tempera painting and drawing.
The colour and graphic rhythm of the compositions conveys the author's state of amazement, as if for the first time seeing the beauty of the construction of the universe, and speaks of the monism of universal rhythms, where body, spirit, word, colour, line and dot are one. Watercolour paints are transparent, tempera colours are pure, and ink lines are dynamic and elegant.
The monumental rigor of the composition in the natural unity of opposites creates the harmony of the presented works by Vladimir Khin.
The works of Fata Morgana, (2005 and 2006), which reflect the author's perception of an optical phenomenon in the atmosphere of the world of turns, also deserve interest.
The National Library of Belarus thanks Vladimir Andreevich Providokhin for a valuable gift for the library's readers. Thanks to such caring people, the cultural heritage of Belarus is now available to everyone.
