On July 11, on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the memory of historian, local historian and researcher Alexei Parfenovich Sapunov (1851–1924), the grand opening of the exhibition "The heritage of the gatherer of Vitebsk Antiquity" took place in the Vitebsk Regional Library named after V.I. Lenin.

At the end of July 1944, the territory of modern Belarus was completely liberated from the Nazi invaders. The first part of the virtual project "Reading newspaper lines with your heart" is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of this event. This part of the project will soon be published in paper form.
