The facsimile reprint of the book heritage of Francysk Skaryna is an  international scientific and publishing project, implemented by the National Library of Belarus and the BelVEB Bank. It lasted five years and was successfully completed in 2017, the year which marked the 500th anniversary of Belarusian book-printing.

The Belarusian Primer Is Traveling the World

In 2018, the National Library of Belarus finished the international scientific publishing project on facsimile reproduction of a book artifact, the first book called “Primer,” which had been published on July 24, 1618, in the printing house of the Vilna Holy Spirit Orthodox Brotherhood in Evje (now Vievis, Lithuania) .

On July 16–18, St. Petersburg hosted the Sixth Forum of Belarusian and Russian Regions with the participation of the President of the Republic of Belarus, Alexander Lukashenko, and the President of the Russian Federation, Vladimir Putin, as well as the delegations of the Council of the Republic of the National Assembly of the Republic of Belarus and the Federation Council of the Federal Assembly of the Russian Federation for Interregional Cooperation.

Modernity and the future of the Earth's population

From July 2 to August 5, in the documents of international rganizations of the National Library of Belarus (2nd floor, room 207g), a thematic book exhibition "Modernity and the future of the Earth's Population" takes place. The exhibition is dedicated to World Population Day, the 75th anniversary of the formation of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the 30th the anniversary of cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and UNFPA .
