On December 6, at the National Library of Belarus took place the IV All-Belarusian People’s Assembly sectional meeting “Culture, Sport, Public Health and Mass Media”.
The IV All-Belarusian People’s Assembly is held in the Republic of Belarus from December 6 to December 7. The results of the Program of Social and Economic Development of Belarus for 2006–2010 and the analogous Program for 2011–2015 are the major themes of the Assembly.
The IV All-Belarusian People’s Assembly has gathered 2,5 thousand delegates. Among them: deputies of the National Assembly of Belarus, heads of republican and local authorities, industrialists, power engineering specialists, representatives of building industry, housing and communal services, transport, communication, culture, sports, public health, mass media, science, education, law enforcement bodies, business, bancs, and also students, veteran and other non-governmental organizations and foreign guests.
On the first day of the forum sectional meetings were held. Delegates considered urgent issues in the sphere of industry, housing and communal services, the agroindustrial complex, education, public health etc.
More than 170 delegates took part in the sectional meeting “Culture, Sport, Public Health and Mass Media”. Among them: Chairman of the Constitutional Court of the Republic of Belarus Piotr Maklashevich, Deputy Minister of Culture of the Republic of Belarus Tadeush Struzhetsky, First Deputy Minister of Information of the Republic of Belarus Lilia Ananich, Director of the National Library of Belarus Roman Motulsky, Director of the Belarusian National Museum of the Great Patriotic War Sergei Azaronok, Chief of Medical Care Administration of the Ministry of Public Health Ivan Ryzhko and others.
