At the end of July 1944, the territory of modern Belarus was completely liberated from the Nazi invaders. The first part of the virtual project "Reading newspaper lines with your heart" is dedicated to the 80th anniversary of this event. This part of the project will soon be published in paper form.

July 16 marks the 80th anniversary of the partisan parade in Minsk. It became a real victorious triumph of the partisans, in whose exploits the vitality of the people, its unity, indomitable will and love for their native land were manifested.

Every week from January to July 2024, the portal of the National Library publishes materials from newspapers of Soviet Belarus in 1944, reflecting the chronicle of news and events of that time.
