On May 19th, as part of the celebrations of the 500th anniversary of the Belarusian book-printing, an excursion “Renowned names of the Motherland” dedicated to Francysk Skaryna was held for the 8th grade pupils of secondary school number 27 in Gomel.
The young guests familiarized themselves with the library building, and also visited the Book Museum to see the original Skaryna’s editions. During an interactive lesson the schoolchildren watched a multimedia presentation, fulfilled creative tasks and leafed through the facsimile editions of the first printer’s books.
The excursion department is glad to offer our visitors a series of guided tours “Renowned names of the Motherland” dedicated to the life and work of Maksim Bahdanovič, Michas Zarecki, Janka Kupala, Jakub Kolas, Francysk Skaryna.
