On October 23, the opening of the autumn/winter cycle of free public lectures “Belarusian Music in the World Art Space” took place. The event was traditionally celebrated with the Cantus Alba Rutheniae chapel under the direction of Galina Tsymyg, PhD.

The concert lecture was dedicated to the 200th anniversary of the outstanding figures of Belarusian culture – composers Stanislaw Moniuszko and Florian Miladowski.

The artists performed excerpts from the Litany of Ostra Brama No. 3 of Stanislaw Moniuszko, the Mass of Florian Miladowski, as well as the works by Michal Oginski and Larisa Simakovich. The audience was introduced to the authentic Belarusian instruments, lyre and gusli. The highlight of the event was the joint performance of Moniuszko’s songs by the choir and listeners.
