On October 31, the National Library of Belarus hosted a presentation of the book "Gaining Height". The Civil Aviation Day in Belarus is celebrated annually, on the first Sunday of November. The book is timed to the 85th anniversary of the Belarusian air fleet.
Artem Sikorsky, head of the Aviation Department, the Ministry of Transport and Communications of the Republic of Belarus, congratulated the younger generation and civil aviation veterans on the professional holiday, and thanked the authors of the book for their work.
A copy of the “Gaining Height” was ceremonially transferred to the “Diamond of Knowledge”.
Elena Dolgopolova, first deputy director of the National Library of Belarus, expressed gratitude for the donation. For readers, the book will be a real guide to the history of the country's civil air fleet, whose origins date back to the distant 1930s.
The event was organized by the Belarusian State Academy of Aviation.
