The exhibition opening ceremony was held at the Belarusian Cultural Center of Kishinev on February 21, 2020. The exhibition was dedicated to the 75th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic. Mr Igor Dodon, President of the Republic of Moldova, took place in the ceremony.

Forest Song is a mobile project, the National Library of Belarus prepared it for the significant date on the basis of documents from the Diamond of Knowledge collections and documents of the National Archives of the Republic of Belarus. The project became a kind of remembrance of the horrors of the war, the exploits of ordinary people, the strength of the spirit of the guerrillas, the Great Victory. Mr Igor Dodon noted in his opening speech that the information-illustrative Forest Song project had shown how to treat the heroic pages of the past. Victory in the war, preserving the memory of it all this is what united, and in the future will unite the Moldovan and Belarusian people.

Mr Sergey Chichuk, Ambassador of the Republic of Belarus in the Moldovan Republic, Mr Oleg Vasnetsov, Ambassador of the Russian Federation in the Moldovan Republic, as well as the representatives of the Belarusian diaspora and public organizations attended the event.

The project is available in Kishinev by the end of this week. Next week the project will go to Tiraspol, for an event at the Russian Center for Cultural Science.

The quest tour "The road of the Great Victory"

On May 15, on the International Family Day, the National Library of Belarus was visited by members of the Belarusian Association of parents with many children in the Pervomaisky district of Minsk. They took part in the quest tour "The road of the Great Victory", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.
