Iran’s Book Week has opened at the library, on November 18.
The organizers of the event are the National Library of Belarus and the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Belarus.
The event was attended by director of the National Library of Belarus Roman Motulsky, chief specialist of the Culture and Folk Art Department the Ministry of Culture of the Republic of Belarus Sergey Botyan, Cultural Advisor to the Embassy of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Belarus Abolgasem Mokhtarian, Chargé d'affaires of the Islamic Republic of Iran in the Republic of Belarus Mortez Bahrami.
As part of the event, a solemn ceremony was held to donate a book collection to the “Knowledge Diamond.” The National Library of Belarus received the publications on the history, politics, geography, cultural heritage and other areas of life of Iran. The new acquisitions were presented at the exhibition, which also featured miniatures of artist Aghamiri and busts of famous Iranian writers.
The event’s guests enjoyed the performance of young Fateme Gulizade, who read a poem in Iranian.
The audience was able to watch the artist of calligrahy, Said Sahrai, working at the easel.
