The National Library has received an electronic collection of works by Belarusian authors in the Uzbek language

Kabiljon Sabirov, the Director of the People's Diplomacy Center of the Shanghai Cooperation Organization, presented an electronic collection of writings by Belarusian authors from the holdings of the National Library of Uzbekistan named after Alisher Navoi to the National Library of Belarus on November 28 at the House of Friendship as part of the round table "Uzbekistan - Belarus: Time-tested friendship".

“Burn and blaze with sparks!”

The “Polymya” magazine is celebrating its centenary this year. The oldest literary, artistic and socio-political publication in Belarus was founded by such iconic figures of national history as Yanka Kupala, Yakub Kolas, Zmitrok Biadulya, Tishka Gartny, Mikhail Zaretsky and others. At various times, the magazine was headed by famous writers: Platon Golovach, Mikhail Lynkov, Ivan Melezh, Petrus Brovka and others. For almost twenty years (1948-1967), the editor-in-chief of the main Belarusian literary and artistic periodical was Maksim Tank, whose talent, erudition and awareness of the world literary process contributed to enriching the content and genre palette of the publication.

Modernity and the future of the Earth's population

From July 2 to August 5, in the documents of international rganizations of the National Library of Belarus (2nd floor, room 207g), a thematic book exhibition "Modernity and the future of the Earth's Population" takes place. The exhibition is dedicated to World Population Day, the 75th anniversary of the formation of the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA) and the 30th the anniversary of cooperation between the Republic of Belarus and UNFPA .
