On 11 October, at the National Library of Belarus there took place a presentation of the book “Articles and Translations” by Azerbaijan professor Aida hanum Imangulieva.
This event was part of the Year of Book.
At the presentation spoke: Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiar of Azerbaijan to the Republic of Belarus Isfandiar Bakhtiyar oglu Vagabzade, Director of the National Library of Belarus Roman Motulsky, head of the Azerbaijan Diaspora in Belarus Bakshi Ganbarov, dean of the faculty of Belarusian and Russian philology at the M. Tank State Pedagogical University Vasily Starichonok.
The book includes articles and translations (the 1960s–1980s) of outstanding scientist, Doctor of Philology, professor Aida hanum Imangulieva, the first woman orientalist. Her scientific papers are still in the centre of attention all over the world.
The professor has turned a new page in studying modern Arabic literature, has laid the basis for a new school. In her scientific and organizing activity Aida hanum Imangulieva has always paid a special attention to professional training of skilled specialists in Arabic philology.
Aida hanum Imangulieva’s fundamental research has enriched both Azerbaijan and world oriental studies.
