A seminar on the possibilities of using information resources in the system of information support of research and innovation activities was held in the National Library of Belarus on February 27.
The event was organized by the virtual reading room in the frameworks of the series of seminars on information resources on the Web of Science platform learning.
The seminar, attended by more than 40 employees of the National Library, university lecturers and graduate students, was opened by Tatyana Kuzminich, deputy director of the National Library of Belarus for Information Resources.
Irina Tikhonkova (Clarivate Analytics) conducted a training on the search and analysis of scientific information on the platform, the creation and interpretation of publications reports and organizations citations, research teams and authors, the formation of a thematic card index and the publications registration according to the formats of the EndNote online journals.
After that, Irina Tikhonkova presented the possibilities of Web of Science for information support of educational and research activities in the scientific and technical sphere at the Belarusian National Technical University.
The seminar, attended by more than 20 representatives of BNTU - library staff, teachers, young scientists - was opened by Inna Yurik, director of the Scientific Library of the Belarusian National Technical University. During the event the emphasis was made on the actual issues of the selection and evaluation of scientific journals for the placement of scientific publications.
