On 18 January, the closing ceremony of III Minsk international digital art festival “Terra Nova” took place at the National Library of Belarus.


For the third time, the gallery-exhibition complex of the National Library of Belarus hosted works of art in digital format. Authors from Lithuania, Poland, China, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Israel and Norway took part in the festival. About 170 works were on display.

Within the framework of the festival there was a contest held by the authoritative jury headed by film director, people’s artist of Belarus, art director of the film actor’s theater-studio Alexander Efremov. Works of art were appreciated in the following nominations: “Digital photo”, “Computer graphics”, “Video art”, “Music video”, “Animation”, “Trailer”, “Short movie”.

Curator of the festival, head of the Gallery-exhibition division of the National Library of Belarus Fyodor Yastreb welcomed the guests. In the event participated: animated film director Alexander Lenkin; designer, professor at the Belarusian State Academy of Arts Alexander Shchepetov; photo artist, member of the expert commission of the Belarusian non0governemntal organization “Fotoiskusstvo” Valery Vedrenko; artist, creator of radio- and art-projects Vladislav Buben.

The closing ceremony ended with the electronic music show which added to the spectacular and stylish atmosphere of the event.

The quest tour "The road of the Great Victory"

On May 15, on the International Family Day, the National Library of Belarus was visited by members of the Belarusian Association of parents with many children in the Pervomaisky district of Minsk. They took part in the quest tour "The road of the Great Victory", dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of the Republic of Belarus from the Nazi invaders.
